Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 August 2026. Written to be read, not merely agreed to. If anything here contradicts what our marketing pages say, tell us - the promise wins and we fix the page.
1. What the service is
SheetLink Forms receives form submissions on your behalf - via our HTML endpoint, the sl.js embed, platform webhooks, or email-in - screens them for spam, stores them, and delivers them to the Google Sheet or Excel workbook you connect. You own your submission data. We process it to provide the service and for no other purpose; the details live in theprivacy policy, which names every sub-processor.
2. Your account and your responsibilities
You are responsible for the forms you operate, for having the right to collect what they collect, and for any notice you owe the people submitting them. Do not use the service to collect data you are not entitled to, to send or solicit unlawful content, or to operate forms that deceive the people filling them in. We may suspend accounts doing any of those things.
3. Pricing commitments
We do not charge per-submission fees, at any tier, ever. This is a design decision, not a promotion, and this document is its contractual home. Tiers may carry stated limits - submission allowances on a free tier, storage and retention windows - and reaching a stated limit pauses the affected feature or holds submissions for you; it never generates a per-submission charge. The free tier is free forever, with open signup. Paid plan pricing and limits are published at /pricing; changes to a paid price never apply retroactively to a term you already paid for, and any change that affects an active subscription comes with at least 30 days' notice.
4. Fair use, in plain language
Rate limits exist only as abuse protection. If your account's traffic pattern is sustained and clearly inconsistent with normal business use - automated flooding, proxying a firehose that is not form traffic, or activity that degrades the service for others - we will contact you first, then throttle if we must, and suspend only as a last resort. We deliberately do not publish a numeric threshold here, because a number would function as a meter and this service is not metered. Genuine high-volume businesses are welcome: talk to us and we will make it work.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Paid plans, when offered, carry a 14-day money-back guarantee - full details on therefund policy page, including the part most services omit: your data stays exportable for 30 days after cancellation, whether or not you were refunded.
6. Service changes and termination
We may change or discontinue features. Material changes to these terms or to pricing are communicated to account holders by email at least 30 days before they take effect - and pricing changes never apply retroactively to a term you already paid for. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, you get at least 90 days' notice and a one-click export of everything you have stored.
7. The boring but necessary part
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
